Call for Thematic Issues

International Journal of Architecture, Engineering and Construction (ISSN 1911-110X [print] and ISSN 1911-1118 [online]), IJAEC, is a scholarly peer-refereed journal that promotes scientific, technical and managerial advances as well as innovative implementations and applications in the three intertwined disciplines serving the needs of the built environment: Architecture, Engineering and Construction.

IJAEC started publication in 2012. Besides regular original research papers, state-of-the-art review papers, novel industrial applications and case studies in the three intertwined disciplines, IJAEC also publishes thematic issues guest-edited by eminent scholars and researchers on recent developments and advances in these disciplines.

*There is no fee of any kind charged for publishing in IJAEC.*

Call for Thematic Issues
Interested parties are invited to submit a proposal for a thematic issue to the Editor-in-Chief, Professor Xueqing (Eric) Zhang, via email at

The proposal should contain a 200-300 word abstract highlighting the importance of the selected topic and a tentative submission deadline. A thematic issue normally contains 6 to 8 quality original, previously unpublished manuscripts.

Manuscript Review
All manuscripts submitted to a thematic issue will be seriously peer reviewed before a possible decision on acceptance for publication in IJAEC. Guest Editors are expected to attract quality papers from around the world in cutting-edge research in the proposed theme, and to organize and manage the review and editorial process of each submitted manuscript.

Honorarium to Guest Editors
Guest Editors of thematic issues will be entitled to an honorarium of US$2,000 per thematic issue containing a minimum of 80 printed pages and 10 free copies of the printed issue.
